Meeting your changing needs

SDR offers a full suite of GIS and addressing maintenance services–from turn-key addressing, GIS and database services–to fill all your agency’s needs.  

 

We also offer customized services to process address requests and issue addresses, validate GIS data and convert to your CAD or NG911 data model, update the GIS in any of the mapping or routing applications in use or update and push out web mapping as changes are made.

Improving your existing GIS data

In a world where new technologies increasingly rely on geospatial input, your GIS data will be needed to fuel new solutions. SDR offers GIS remediation services to correct, complete and spatially improve your existing GIS data to meet the demands of NG911 call-routing, CAD, vehicle-routing and multi-agency integration. 

 

We are seasoned and experienced in NG911 data models and requirements, including upload portal/validation services with leading industry vendors, and offer 30 years experience identifying and remediating critical addressing, topology and formatting errors.

Providing on-the-ground accuracy

SDR began integrating GPS technologies into our E911 GIS and Addressing projects in 1995, when publicly-available GPS was in its infancy. Today, we pair this technology with modern GIS and bring full GIS solutions to the field for field mapping projects where aerial imagery and existing GIS data and other databases do not provide the detail needed.  

 

This is especially relevant for identifying sub-addresses in complexes, strip malls, apartments and condos and recreational facilities. Improving data to include these sub-addresses more closely aligns your GIS with NG911 standards.

Leveraging our experience in early addressing projects

SDR began our operations serving rural communities in 1993 with E911 implementation projects that required standardized 911 addressing, MSAG databases and landline phone numbers associated with these new physical addresses.  

 

In the era of E911 implementations, SDR provided rural addressing services to unaddressed counties across the nation.  These projects were based on infield GPS field surveys and mapping and tight integration with the database providers. 

 

While most of the country now benefits from these early E911 addressing projects, SDR is still actively addressing and will complete addressing and NG911 GIS data preparation in the Navajo Nation in 2026. 

 

Today, SDR serves our clients with addressing maintenance and addressing improvement services and is always available to clients like the Navajo Nation still in need of addressing unaddressed areas.

Providing affordable solutions

SDR utilizes modern ESRI ArcGIS technologies and provides affordable solutions to incorporate our clients’ GIS data into cloud-based call-taking solutions via REST services. 

 

In addition to incorporating your data into call mapping at the Emergency Communications Center, we provide public and private browser-based web mapping, customized to your needs.

Customizing tools for your needs

SDR utilizes our own custom GIS and database scripts and tools to build, correct and repurpose GIS data.  We’ll further customize these tools for our clients to enable you to maintain and improve your GIS data for its many uses. 

 

Our tools allow you to comfortably maintain remediated data for your own purposes and process it into separate datasets for sharing with partners. For example, our QA tools catch errors affecting call routing. Or our formatting and model tools move data quickly and easily from your maintenance model to one required by call taking, call routing, CAD, or for data sharing with other government agencies.
